props, that is a rare thing indeed, very beefy stuff, as for where to put it, it has to obviously go int he trunk, a floor well set up would be nice, i think together its about as long as the two amp set up i did in this Z?

I think the only other option besides a raised floor would be on an angle in between the rear speakers and the rear strut bar. I have always been really impressed with your installs, I might reach out to you for some advice if you don't mind

This install is going to take a long time to tastefully pull off, but I will definitely post pics of the process.

I just bought that 200.4 but haven't installed it yet. How do you like its power and operation???????

I cant wait to get it in the car but I really have to take my time installing it. I'd like to get it done in time for HIN but I don't know if thats going to happen. I'm still up in the air about how to upgrade the subs to handle this amp. Either I upgrade the JL stealth box to hold something better than 2 10' 10w3v2's or make a new FG enclosure for a single 12'.

I talked to a JL engineer who said you can fit W6V2's in the stealthbox, but you may have to shave down the back a little bit according to him. Ten inch W3's and W6's require the same airspace, with the W6 being a tad bit deeper.

for the size it doesn't stack well against modern amps... i'm sure that for the day that PG amp was top notch...

i have one of similar size made by MA Audio. 4000watts RMS at 17.7 volts

its a HK4000D:

i must warn you though... this set-up is not very efficient, the bass frequencies are not given time to mature to an audible level. you will catch some of the sounds but not all...

with the shortage of space in the Z your best bet is a rearward facing set-up. much like the stealth box or any variation of it.

i will be rebuilding my box and amp mount eventually, just thought i should give you a heads up on it.

currently the MA Audio amp is dying of power thirst... i need to connect a high powered capacitor before this thing even thinks of hitting it's potential.

I've got some old computer video cards that are about half that big and twice as old! You want me to ship them to you?

Default Update

Getting closer.. The modifications to the stealth box should be done this week. I'm going with 2 Memphis M3 M3104DD subs in the modified JL Stealth box.

2 Kinetik HC800 powercells have been ordered. The spare tire is gone as the only place I can fit the amp is in the rear floor. The subs and the batteries should be here this week. Then construction of the false floor will begin. With all this weight I'll need FI to keep up with a stock Z

Default Getting there

The subs are in and I should have some pics of the modified JL Stealthbox and subs this weekend. I'm having my brother construct a custom battery tray for the two HC800 powercells in the back. A custom U-channel is being built to hold the amp off the floor to allow for fans at either end. The raw sheetmetal has been ordered and should be here soon. Here's a few shots I took while me and my bro were taking measurements.
