Just installed Avic-D3 into my 350z
I just installed the avic myself. First off I would like to thank all the people on this website who posted on how to remove the stock radio and all the other diy's needed to complete the install.
The install was pretty easy. It only took like an hour. The hardest part was finding the reverse light wire. As for the headunit itself I really like it. For the price you can't beat it. I don't really mind switching the dvd nav cd. I listen to the radio a lot too so I don't have to switch that much. The only thing that might make this headunit a little better is if it came with a remote.
Sorry for the picture quality's. Im not a really good camera person.

yeah i put the gps in the cubby. I haven't got the Ipod adapter yet. As for watching dvd's I did the bypass. You can find all the information about it at avic411.com. It was a pretty easy mod.

Looks familiar! Installed one a few weeks ago in my Z.

The VSS wire is on the AC console behind the dash. The reverse wire is under the triangular window behind the driver seat.
To the OP, do you get the "white-noise" problem when the beep is set to on? It is a noise whenever the buttons are pressed, coming from the speakers.
