Not that I was aware of. Saw a few at the dealership but none were motorized.

Basically I ripped out all the computer parts from my old setup in my RSX and put them in the Z. The goal as always is to make it look stock. I'll soon have the stock nav buttons operating basic functions of the computer.

Shotgun! - Custom Front End, written by me.
Iguidance 3.1

Basic Process:

Replaced Stock Headunit with a Pioneer 9800-BT
Mount Screen to 07 Nav Cubby
Run wires (battery, ground, ignition, switches, sound, video, and misc)

More to come

The install was done at my newly opened shop, Driven Dynamics located in Rockville, MD. www.drivendynamics.com

Kieran,

That is the best looking install I've seen in a very long time & definetly the best Z install I've seen! It looks classy & clean ! Is that dash kit the metra 99-7602? That dash kit looks very nice. I saw a pick on another thread & the metal sleeve that holds the receiver was visible. I wonder which one that was.

Actually, I'm very interested in the case you used, and where you put it. Any info?

For my CarPC I used http://store.mp3car.com/OPUS_Mini_IT..._p/enc-003.htm I love it. It is pretty bulky and big, but allows for airflow and expansion. There is room to work on it too and it fits PERFECTLY (with the vibration dampening kit too) in the cubby behind the passenger seat(the "glove box").

That is the most suitable place I could find in the Z to put it, where it is readily accessible and easy to remove/put back.

That things huge LOL. My computer is like 6x6x2 if that I'll post somepics, it's placed in the empty area behind the drivers seat along with a usb hub, an amp and some other misc stuff.

Just an update - I finally got the navi buttons working with the computer

Oh and for all those asking about the software a betaish copy can be had @
www.drivendynamics.com/shotgun/Shotgun.zip

It requires .net 2.0 and wmp 11.

I'll post more details about it tommorow.

Thanks for looking

You think I didnt already write the software???

It's integrated into Shotgun already in the form of hotkeys, I'll make it configurable soon enough.

The basic idea behind the buttons is right here:
http://www.instructables.com/id/EJDCHXG5XWEP2874MO
Essentially you map the buttons from the navi to a key on your keyboard.

GL with that though cause its a major pain!

So i've got a buddy whos a electrical engineer working on that piece for me lol.

I figured you had the software part down. Next time you have the center piece off think I could get a pic of how you have it wired up? Would probably save me sometime and energy lol. Or if your interested in making a adapter/connector I wouldnt mind shelling some $$ out for 1.
