Hum.. the 50ft robot thing sounds pretty cool... but I dont know about the talking... I'm invisioning it sounding like a complaining woman wanting more gas, to go faster and for you to buy things for it.

Would get really annoying pretty quick.
I suggest adding a mute feature.

Look around the forums on MP3car.com. I think there is a thread that says how to do it.

not sure if the OP is still active here, but I have been researching the CarPC install, and am going to use a JoyCon to map the OEM nav buttons to keyboard inputs... there is a neat software interface for this that is application specific too!

Could work, but this is for the Steering wheel functions, you'll have to hope that the button presses and such for the actual nav buttons are also resistance based (probably are, but the documentation will be very sparce).

well I am assuming that all of the buttons are CANbus, so my plan is to hack open the button panel and solder up resistors for each button. going to take some work, but i think it will be worth it! the main thing i want to get working and mapped is the joystick to the arrow keys, that would be nice.

great install by the way, hope mine turns out as nice!
