Nice! I just put one of these in my new Pathfinder, still trying to figure out how to set the clock. I had to break out the manual

I can't believe you have to set the e-brake just to create a route. other than that the IPOD control is great!

If e-brake wire is grounded, you dont have to stop to create route or watch dvd. A little birdy told me that.

acutally you have to also move a wire into a new location on the harness and ground that as well, just grounding the ebrake wire will NOT bypass the D3

Yep. Mute wire goes into the opposite slot, and gets grounded as well as e-brake wire.
But I'd never do this.

The installer/salesman told me there is a gyro that senses the car moving and there is a plug you have to buy to bypass to watch DVD, making a trip to Canada soon where its legal.

Just installed this unit myself on Sunday (yesterday). I've been searching but still have a couple of questions.

1. What's the best position for the GPS antenna- in cubby, on top of dash or under rear strut brace?

2. Is their a closer location to tie into the reverse wire than the rear trunk as in the photo? In other words is their a wire near the gear shifter? I want to avoid having to remove more panels.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Never mind. I finished the install this past weekend. It's not as hard as I thought, ran the reverse wire to the back. The panels are simple to remove, they just pop off. I placed GPS @ front above cubbie.
This is not a hard install @ all. Thanks to all that posted pictures, etc.!

Legally it has to be there. Pioneer could use other methods to adhere to the law that would be alot harder to get around but they choose not to. Lucky us

Nav not so good.
What do you not like about the Pioneer Nav?

1. I put mine underneath the plastic on the rear strut bar.

2. You can tap the revere wire also on the drivers side panel where the seat belt is. It's the teal one.

What year Z did you install this on? I am trying to install mine right now on my 07 and it looks like i will have to do some minor modifications to the brackets in order to make it fit flush with the dash. Just wondering if you had to do the same or if there was a slight difference between our years.
