The T1 did hit hard and sound good in the z. It was one of the better set ups i heard in a z needing such little air space.

It didn't finish full excursion, but didn't sound like it was clipping. I've heard clipping before. If I'm not mistaken, clipping is when the sub starts it's excursion then makes a popping noise and returns to normal position.

This was more like it would start it's excursion, then die down to about half way and finish the bass note.

Werd, I do.

My amp has two features for filtering/crossover.

1. HP-LP-AP dip switch (I have it set at LP-Low Pass)
2. Frequency cut off potentiometer

The potentiometer goes in incrementes of about 25hz. I have mine set to not play anything above 55hz in my sub.

No suggestions? Guess I'm stuck with a sub that doesn't deliver...

Anyone want to buy it?

Sorry Vo, I'm cranking this through my brain to see what I can come up with.

Did you make sure you have no leaks in the enclosure?

I wish I was in Texas right now for 3 reasons......

1) the gorgeous women
2) the warm weather
3) to hear the sub so I would know exactly what you are hearing/seeing

Imma double check the HU setting tonight. Nothing should have changed though. I haven't reset any options since my T1 was working...

Did you do a final volume check when you were done?

The last thing to be tuned was the sub. All other components were tweeked already, so once the sub was tuned that was pretty much it. I'm not sure I understand the question..

if you are using low pass crossover on amp than you are not needing low pass crossover setting on head unit

if you are using both lp on amp and hu you double crossing over

try turning off head units low pass crossover and only using the low pass on amp

what are the settings on your amp for low pass choices?

Last but not least, maybe the sound of this subwoofer isn't for you. Like you said, you are kind of into the very deep and loud bass. RF has always delivered this with their subs. Boomy loud , internal shaking bass that sounds good. I'm also into that bass as well and sometimes my jl w7 leaves me wanting more. But my w7 sounds good with most music and gets loud enough for me for right now.

One thing i use to read about FI Q series subs is that some people weren't happy with the sound until a week or two after the sub broke in. They sound it gradually sounded better. Maybe you can try this before you resort to buying something new.

I'm not using the low pass cross over feature on my HU, to my knowledge. I had not been using it on my previous setup, and have not changed any settings since then.

LP on amp is already enabled

The sub amp only has a potentiometer that gives you the ability to pick the frequency cut off point. I currently have it set to filter out everything above 55hz...

I never heard of this, but I'm willing to give it a shot. I have an outdoor show on Sunday. I should be able to give it alot of play time then....
