Great job! Particularly the choice of front components. I need to have my buddy Hoss pop in here to look at your false floor because the step-by-step pics really show people what's underneath and what it took to make it look so good.

when you do stealth installs like that it seems that the board that covers the subs would either hit the subs or greatly sacrifice sound. how does that work?

they arent boards, they are grilles

they are an outter wooden frame, with the cneter cut out, a piece of matching grille mesh attached on top, and then grille cloth stretched over the entire thing. if you ever see a home audio cover, its the same thing

i have heard hte MLK a decent amount, its an extremely nice speaker

i would put the seas reference a step above hte MLK 165 IMO...to me better midbass extension, and better upper freq as well. the MLK165 would prolly line up better iwth the Seas performance set.

the seas reference, i honestly like about as uch as the MLK 2 set, but i would pick the seas over hte mlk2 beucsae its a good 500-600 bucks cheaper

Seas is knwon for extremely high end home audio, their drives and drivers they make for other brands are used in HT systems costing into the 6 figures hehe

Oh. Okay. Never heard of them before this thread.

I'm offered new sets of MLKs at 599 a set, thankfully not the 1k a set retail. I'm sure coupled with the Alpine tiny amp, it will sound just fine. I'm not aiming for the ultimate in SQ. If I was, it wouldn't be with MLK's.

Are your kick panels fiberglass or abs?

thats a great deal on the MLK, and if you desire "ultimate in sq" as you say, the MLK set, espeically the 2 and the 3, are definetly up there as some of hte bets speakers money can buy

my kicks are fiberglass, with a MDF baffle...

I've found them for that price from a few places. I forgot who had them, but a little digging would reveal the places.

sorry i cannot, these custom installs, even though many way look similar, is unique to each car. its a thoughtout pricess include a series of platforms, supports, wells, that evnetually meets with a fake floor cut otu to shape. even if i duplicate all the exact pieces for someone and shipped it, it still may not come out the same unless its put together exactly the same way, down tot he last 1/8 of an inch.

this would be somehting you want to give your local custom shop a hollar for...sorry
