Pods painted and installed

rear view of the pods

Here where i mounted my tweeter. Didnt take pics during the making tho. Tweeters are placed symmetrically on both sides to get more front stage sound.

Overall look

Very nice!

That appears to be about as good positioning of tweeters and midrange components that you can do in Z for optimum sound. The door pods are interesting since they are angled like kicks.

Question: It appears that the door pods extend quite far into the interior. Any issues with this (e.g., foot-scraping when entering and exiting the car, pod against driver’s left leg, etc.)?

Thanx for the compliments spike. And yes the door pods are directly position to the driver n passenger for optimum sound.

As for your question, b4 the initial pods were made, measurements were done so that the pods would'nt get in the way of my leg while driving. As for issues getting in n out of the car, u need to be careful n the door would hav to be fully extended open if u want to be xtra careful. Other than dat its juz one leg up n out

Wow this is SOO clean. I love it.

Good call by your installer on backing on the interior panels. I've got some nasty rattles in that area I need to fix.

Do you know if he put backing on all interior panels or just the two you pictured? What is he using?

I need to do the same. Would appreciate any info.

probably wouldn't hurt and it is cheap, so it wouldn't break the bank experimenting. Craft stores have rolls for next to nothing.

Perfect, cheers mate. I'm relatively new to the install side of the game so I'm still learning all the tricks to deal with the less than perfect audio environment in a Car.

I agree you on it. Its cheap and effective. No rattles at all for the interior panels on the strut bar area.
