Wouldn't the light eventually come back on if there was a problem?

hi, my airbag light is constantly on! it doesnt flash nor go off on "on position" nor motor on! I bought my car at a auction, and the airbags were never deployed, only one seat belt is jammed! Because of the price of the seat belt I wantd to buy an after market sport seat belt. How can I get that airbag light off?

OP (from 2007) Nice job on the directions. This cured my flashing light. It was going to make me crazy.

Thanks so much for pulling it together so clearly and organized.

the sensor is way different then the bladder that is sown here.

It sounds like the 07's have a weight sensor vesrus the bladder dsicussed in this write-up. IS that correct? Did your by-pass method work? Can you show pics and describe what you did?

I will update next week. In the end I was able to not have a SRS light , but I don't know if the sensor works the way it should. I hope for a real bypass that would just keep the airbag on, or to have a key option to manually turn it off.

OK, I'm getting confused... the "bladder" is only in the passenger seat right?
on the driver side the 2 / 2.2 ohm resistor + ecu reset does the job... or am I missing something?

Yep the bladder is in the passenger seat only. I've tried the resister and reset ecu and didn't work for me. I don't know if the steps I took were wrong but I tried following the steps in this thread and no luck.

My seat doesnt have a "bladder" just some sort of sensor thing that spans the length of the seat (it's brown with circuits). Any thoughts?

will the the nismo airbag cancel harness prevent the airbag from deploying? I want to use my aftermarket seats but still have the airbags deploy in an accident.

If the light sensor is canceled, will the airbag deploy when in case of an accident?

My airbag light used to came on and stayed on. I got the dealer to fix it..yesteday, the light came on again while I was just driving and start blinking...What do you think the problem is? and do the warranty still cover airbag if I bought in 2005?
