Nice write up. However I found it much easier to remove the speaker grill, and pop the bottom of the door panel loose and remove/install the speakers through the bottom of the door panel. The bottom screw that holds the speaker bracket is the only tough part because you have to use on open end wrench. I swapped both my fronts out in about 35 minutes.

I think you should remove the wiring for the OEM Bose tweeters because the Reference 6022si came with tweeter on the speaker. They are 2-way speaker.

Has anyone has good results with the Infinity Reference 6032si speakers? Are they the same fit as the install noted? I have a stock head unit and want to keep it that way. Just want a little better speaker. The reviews on the 6032's have better base perfomance than the 6022's?

Thanks for any advice..

i have 6022si in my front and rear and it sound great. Both 6032 and 6022 wont have any good bass because they are 2-ways speakers. 2-ways generally dont have a woofer in them, just tweeter and midrange. If you want a solid, decent bass, just get a single sub in the back and hook it up to the headunit.

Thanks you for this write up. I needed to replace my passenger side window control cover that was badly scratched. This write up made the job a breeze.

My kicker QS 65.2's where a little too big for the brackets so I made an mdf ring and used an epoxy to attach it to the factory bracket.

Minimal differences Zack. The earlier 03-05 cars had a different configuration of arm rests and door grip, so the screw arrangement differs slightly from the writeup, but nothing complex. All else is identical though. Good luck.

Thank you, that was very helpful. I was simply just trying to find the first few steps to re-do my door panels.
