Default Window doesn't work but the button clicks. Replace motor or fuse?

I have a '03 350z. the window motors have always been 'sluggish' but they always worked. Last Sunday, my friend's son was sitting in the passenger seat and pushed down on the window button and I dont know what happened after, or how long he held the switch down, but the window will not come back up again.

If I window up/down button on either the driver or passenger side, I hear two clicks, separated by a second or two. In any case, I dont know if its the fuse or the motor itself. The instruction manual says:

"If any electrical equipment does not operate and fuses are in good condition, check the fusible links. If any of these fusible links are melted, replace only with genuine NISSAN parts."

1. I dont know what a 'fuseable link' is. Do they just mean check the fuse or is it something else?
2. Do I have to pull out each fuse to check or is there a specific one for the window motor?
3. There's also a fuse box in the engine compartment, do I check those fuses as well or just the ones in the passenger compartment?

I'm a total novice, but I'd appreciate any help or advice. Thank you

First make sure the driver side lockout button on armrest isn't depressed. If it is, pass window won't operate at all.

Next, take the inner door panel off and use a simple meter to check for 12 volts when window switch is activated. If it gets 12V you need a new motor from Amazon. If not work backwards to get power to it. Chances are good it's a bad motor in my experience.

Likely the motor, but definitely check the signal like JHC suggested before just throwing parts at it.

If the window is stuck down, and you need to get it to roll up, try pulling the switch up (so the window will go up as normal) and at the same time try hitting the arm rest on the door. This trick worked on mine when the motor went out and I didn't want to leave it parked with the window down. If the motor brushes are worn down or there's build-up in there, jarring it will cause it to make an electrical connection and the motor will work temporarily and get the window up.

Okay so update: yesterday I took to driving my car out for an hour or so. And I'd randomly hit the window up button on the passenger side, and it would do nothing except click like its been doing. Then, all of a sudden, it came back up! I have no idea what happened, but I locked out the window buttons from the driver side and have no plans to ever lower that window again.

In any case, what was the cause of this? something electronic or is the motor dying?

It's much more likely your motor is working intermittently than not getting power intermittently. $45, watch a YouTube video and 45 minutes later it'll be good as new.
