with out that you could not plug in an ipod, or any kind of aux input device, or be able to hook it up to any steering wheel controls

Did you have issues with it? I noticed you wrote their 800 number on the reference guide.

hah, the place that installed it for me had issues getting the nav to work. because they mounted the antenna inside the dash.... once it was correctly mounted it works absolutely amazingly

Does it have the ipod interface on it? like can you control your music from the headunit? or do you have to do it on the ipod/iphone?
