Yes, this requires the removal of your spare tire.

I've never got a flat in the Z, and this speaker box design lets you keep all your trunk space for groceries, etc..

No, I wish I did though.

The box sits flush underneath your carpet with just the speaker grill peaking out through a hole in which you will need to cut in the carpet. It's a very clean setup.

might be interestd, does it fit any other spare tire well? I have a prius and i want to put this in there. I was hoping since that most of the 1/3 size spare is the same... this would work, let me know I'm local in Rowland Heights, Thanks!

 

This box is fiberglassed to fit perfectly into a 350z tire well. It has ridges, etc, to sit flush with the bottom of the well. Not sure a Prius has the same exact design. You're welcome to come by and test fit.
