The computer has a smart power supply so it turns on and off with the ignition key (it can also be set to hibernate so it takes shorter to boot). Asking $700 shipped OBO

i ran a mac mini with a regular hard drive for 2 years with no problem.

hmm odd. Oh well I guess you got lucky. I have ran HDDs in both vert and horz positions and they have both failed within 2 years, not reliable in my book
