Default Sydney and surrounding area gathering

Several attempts have been made to get people together around the Sydney area.

I propose a date is set and if the numbers are good, we get together for chinwag, photoshoot or idea sharing.

What do you guys think about Saturday July 5th 2003?

Or Sunday 6th if anyone's interested in going to a dyno day at Croydon Racing Development in Silverwater. $50 to run. I was going to post a new thread when I noticed this. Organised by the Nissan club.

I'll meet on any day as long as it's metro Sydney.

I've spoken to Jim at Croydon a few times and he is great to chat to. I still think we should get a better deal than 50 bucks a run if we have a good number of people.

It's not like the dyno is running 24hrs 7days over there! ;-)

I'm happy to meet over a drink to see what everyone wants out of a regular 350z meet. Might be the best thing if this is the first get together imho!

woo hoo! beer!!!

It's $50 for a couple of runs but unless you're going to change something between runs I don't see the point of running multiple times.

Even if you don't want to run we could still meet up and say g'day. The club's putting on a BBQ, $1 sausage sandwich. I intend to run just to get a baseline.

If not I'm happy to meet elsewhere whenever people are ready.

Sounds good. Bit early for me too dyno, but never too early for me to drink beer.

Let me know if it's on.

3 1/2 hours to go. Woo hoo

Unfortuantely can't make it that weekend, am driving up to Brisbane - have a set of Volks and suspension kit being fitted the following Mon/Tues.

Would be keen to attend future gatherings though.

My little baby is sitting at the Dealers spray shop with all its white plastic covers on, and covered in crap waiting to get the front bumper fixed.

So, count me in if it is on the Saturday. I cant make the Sunday.

G'day everyone, this is happy fatman here.

Got my beautiful baby today. Awesome is not a good enough word to describe it.

There is nothing about this blue beauty that I do not like, except for rear visibility. This should be fine once I get used to it.

Love the blue and can't wait to see it in the daylight. Bose is okay for me, so I have nothing bad to say about that.

Love it.

Pictures to come tomorrow.

The Saturday run sounds good. I will be home by then for sure.

I saw my first Z in the US today!!! Lots of Infiniti but hardly any Zs cruising around.

Apparantly Nismo is being sold here now. Anyone heard anything from your local dealer?

Re Nismo - most of the dealers I spoke with told me that Nissan would not be supplying Nismo (like they did for the S15 200SX).

However the dealer I eventually went with did agree to supply and fit the Nismo suspension kit for me.

Perfect Run and Unique Autosports are two suppliers in Sydney that are also able to source the Nismo gear (and when I was getting prices Perfect Run was the cheaper of the two).

Cheaper again to import yourself from what I've seen. Didn't Nissan make a big deal at a show in Melbourne a while back that they'd be supplying Nismo stuff via the dealerships? Not that they'll be price competitive anway.

True, would be cheaper to import yourself.

And yes, think the dealers did say they would get body kits etc, but I was only interested in mech parts such as suspension, exhaust etc and these were the parts they would not get.

Most told me they could source from a Nissan approved parts list that included a Bilstein suspension kit and a Nissan s/s exhaust, but not Nismo.

Sunday, BBQ sausages, beer and a hole lot of high performance Nissans on a dyno sounds good to me.
Apps, do we need to become Nissan Sports Club members on Sun to attend with that group?
I'm assuming CRD are on Silverwater Rd???
What time???

I've been told to invite along other 350Z owners so no, you don't have to be a member. I've just joined so I'll let you know what the member discounts etc are like when I find out.

It's starting at 9am. CRD are at 9 Blaxland St Silverwater which runs off Silverwater Rd. It's on the left coming from Parramatta Rd, couple of streets before the bridge.

Don't think they're suppling beer unfortunately

Best bet is to drop Greg (events guy for the club) an email and let him know you'll be coming. His email address is omg@iprimus.com.au].
