Nismo Parking Sensors Not Compatble with 350z auto.
I ordered "Reverse" parking sensors to be installed on delivery which was quoted at $595. On receiving the car they told me the dealer had decided to "upgrade" then to Nismo one which had been quoted at $1200 and which is supposedly more compatible with the car. As I've got the Touring auto there an annoying alternating beep whenever I put it in reverse which kinda drowns out the sensor noise when you get close to an object. The dealer has now reported this to Nissan and suggested that they pay for the removal of the dash so he can shut down the standard reverse beeper. They have agreed to pay the cost of doing this and are investigating other ways of adapting it including adapting the standard beeper to the sensor.
Has anyone else had a reverse sensor installed in an auto or offer advice on a solution.

no... never had a car with reverse sensors.
I've seen a guy online has put a camera in the rear and hooked it up to a lcd screen in the dash console area.
He also had a DVD player.
I'd prefer that kind of setup personaly!

Currently installing a BOSCH Park Pilot system - around $250. The insides are done but the bumper sensors ( x4 ) really need the bumper to be removed - which others tell me is a challenge.
Have paused the project but will try comming in through the rear light cutouts.
