I spoke with HiTech this morning regarding some of your concerns, firstly for this group buy they will give a 30 day a money back satisfaction grantee on their system provide it is not damage in way (ie: bent, dented, cut or altered) and shipping is at your cost. All there products come with a 5 year materials and workmanship warranty. They have been around for 27 years and have been involved in racing with many of the great racing teams for many years.

Anyway Mike and I have worked with Lambros at HiTech to bring to you what we believe to be a great product for the 350Z at an affordable price (good power increase/dollar value), we have no invested interest in HiTech the company, so please, we’ve given you the facts as they’ve come to us through independent dyno shops and two independent car evaluations, so the ball is in your court.
Lambros is in the process of working out the cost to manufacture the system in titanium from the current US suppliers of the titanium, I’ll let you know what the outcome is, he believes the cost could be quite high but hopes his sources in China can come through with cheaper material in the future.

Regards to there claim on the internet site, that was a mistake and was supposed to be fixed a while back and will be update soon.

Just to clarify the group buy price is A$1500 ex gst + shipping the tax free price is for our US bros (brothers).

Aspilon

Nathan’s baseline dyno was much lower than 147kW.

Harryw

Approximately A$100 for the install at one of there shops.

J Ritt

Approximately A$300 or US$195 to ship to the east cost ie: NY

Please, can the members who are in on the current SS group buy PM me with your details, I'll forward it on to HiTech.
We need 5 or more to get the savings.

141 IIRC (with very few km on the clock) but as you've already stated the 20% was an error. It's about on target if a tad low but as we all know different dynos, different results.

Fact remains on the same dyno same day with the mildest cams and the exhaust his car pulled about 28rwkw more than mine.

Well thats 13rwkw more than mine with the HiTech system installed, that sounds about right with the mild cams making up the diff and don't forget Nathan's car is JDM spec.

Agreed.

I don't think anyone who buys this system will be disappointed. If they'd bothered to repsond to my queries I probably would've gone this way also.

Look forward to hearing it at the Track day.

So in American dollars, this exhaust looks to be $975 dollars in the group buy, correct???

BTW, what are the diameters??

No... I emailed Lambros and asked also but they have no supplier.

ie... it'll takes ages!

Unless you are going to race the 350z, it probably isn't worth the extra expense anyway. I liked the idea but then I decided to buy a new plenum.

Now i'm just waiting on the new plenum (by Isdunique) to be finished and tested. If that doesn't pan out i'll buy Crawfords fugly one and get it polished here is Sydney.

This seems to be the same horsepower gain that BORLA made as the true duel came out, what would make anyone think that there's some magic piping going on to make this one hold its claims? I have the Borla installed now for a few months and like it. And for close to double the price after shipping I would be really ticked off to find out later that it probably gives at best basically the same improvement over stock (stock being very good) similar to the intake

Thumbs up

Hmmm... I'm quite interested in this as well... but don't have the money just quite yet since it's property tax season... I'm going to keep my eye peeled on this product though for a possible October purchase...

How long would a shipment take from Australia to the East Coast of the U.S.?

The piping diameter is 2.5" and manufactured to a very high quality, fully mandrel bent.

Well where do I start?
On the weekend I was fortunate enough to meet up with ZZZ-35 and take a good look at this so called wonder exhaust.

Now for my thoughts....
Firstly this system looks stock. Anyone who wants fat pipes hanging off the rear, stop reading right now.
Thats a good thing in my opinion. The tips are well rounded/finished.
Looking under the car is just as pleasing, all the welds seem clean and the system fits really well, with no piping hanging low about to scrape speed humps.
Just a well thought out setup that wont attract any unwanted attention.
On to the good bits.............
The sound on this thing is magic. Compared to stock it is much deeper and actually sounds like a sports car should.
I previously didnt mind the stock sound, but when it was time to leave, my car was disappointing to listen to.
Very exotic note to it.
Standing behind the car while the revs were up is fantastic.
Next we went for a short drive, combining highway freeway and backstreets.
Being a passenger its always hard to tell if someone elses car has more power, but ZZZ-35's car did pull hard throughout the entire rev range with great top end feel.
I would not hesitate to say the 15kw are there.
Next positive would be the drone, or lack of it.
Any gear, any speed I couldnt pick any droning sounds at all
I doubt anyone who gets this system will have anything to complain about. Seriously.
Its actually hard to fault, If you like a stock looking setup that produces good power and sounds deep/exotic this is a winner.

Once again thanks David for the chance to see it first hand.

Hey Blue, I had the opprotunity to hear the HiTech exhaust on Nismor33's Z on the track day. Mike and I actually drove down together and I followed him part of the way down. Anyway, I failed to realise that his exhaust was different to stock following from approximately 10-50m behind him, as it looks very simmilar - the tips may be marginally bigger according to Mike but I could not tell the difference. When we got into Goulburn, we turned around to buy fuel and I had my window down and heard his exhaust as he drove by me. I thought Sh*t that sounds great and then realised that I was not stock. So off course, I did a u-turn to follow and got the reves up to compare my exhaust not to Mike's and what a dissapointment.
15rwkW and a great exhaust note to boot for about $1800 fitted is a great deal. I will get this exhaust in Dec.
Thanks for sharing your thought on the exhaust. I had the identiacall thoughts, but you put it so elloquently (spelling???) in your post.
I've got no doubt that we will see more HiTech exhausts on more Z's in time.
