Default Roadster Australia Release

Anyone else waiting for their delivery of the roadster?? I've been told the 16th October, but the dealer says that Nissan won't say whether they will deliver a few days early to allow pre-delivery.

Dealer said the most popular configuration is Silver with auto. I selected Le Mans with manual. Anyone else out there waiting??

I thought they weren't going to be available until after the motor show? Early Jan in fact. For your sake I hope I'm wrong.

Well I hope so too....after having a track for the w/e about 2 months ago......my anticipation level is starting to blow. I've been told that the release was to coincide with the Sydney motor show but I did see in one of the car mags the release for the 26th which is the last day of the show. The dealer seems to be confident on the 16th..... I saw a blue roadster last week driving around the streets in Brisbane with another sighting of a silver one the same w/e....the dealer inquired and said that they were there for the journo's for the upcoming release.....

I suppose only time will tell....

Yeah I'm predicting that there will be a lot of second hand Z's when the new Godzilla is released (including me as long as the final price doesn't get out of hand in comparison to the then competition) But if you keep hanging out for the next "best thing" you would still be driving around in your HK ute....

For a speed fix, I think I'll stick to my YZF1000

lol...I'll put little arrows around the car to remind me that the wheels should be facing down....but what I'm REALLY worried about is that I've only been putting one foot down when I stop on the bike.....thanks for the heads up

Just got my copy of the advert brochure. The new optional seats look OK but they still carry on about the great sound system....ha ha.......but at least they gave me a copy of "The Run" for nothing.....wow how generous

Just over a month ago I saw a black 350z roadster cruising around in melbourne. I'm assuming it was a promo car.

I've got an Auto Daytona Blue Roadster on order. I've been told by the dealer that it arrived in Australia a fortnight ago. They have since told me Nissan is delaying the release of the car until after the official launch at the Sydney Motor show.

Going to show tonight as it seems it might be the only time I get to see the car anytime soon!

YEP the roadster was released TODAY (16-10-03). Some head guy from nissan apparently "pressed a button" to allow them to be released from the holding yards. Arrived at my dealer this afternoon and i pick it up tomorrow as I didn't want to be waiting around late late afternoon waiting for predelivery. I ordered the Sunset manual.

THE WAIT IS OVER.....

Congrats!! How long did you have it on order for?? I think I've been waiting about 3 months for the release. The Z is a sweet ride and the noise insulation on the soft top is better than I was expecting. The soft top gives it a more "cabin" feeling when up (which I like).

I don't know about you but I haven't regretted in the whole week that I've had it, in waiting for its release.

ENJOY

I ordered in Mid August - so have been counting the days for a while..

With the roof up you'd be hard pressed to know it was a soft top. I see what people mean about the stereo though - it's good, but I'd expect more from a company like bose..
