Default Question on Hi-Tech exhaust

People who have Hi-Tech exhaust....

Can you be able to tell me whether or not the exhaust that you have on your car has any Hi-Tech "logo"? And what does it (the logo) look like?

Thanks for the help! I just cannot wait to get an exhaust on my car!

cheers,

richie

ps. hopefully the logo is not a kangaroo....

Richie, it has (from memory) a very small (30x20mm)rectangular piece that says something like Mille Maglieri, or something like that anyway. You can hardly notice it.

Hey Richie, I was close.

It actually says Mille Miglia and it is about 150x30mm.

If the cat back does not claim to add too much (if any)h.p..Has anyone done just the Hi Tech muffler alone? and hows the sound?
(I have prices)

Does removal of ractory resonater detract from power and or sound any good?

TIA

Steve

Steve, you've confused me. No one has said, AFAIK, the cat back doesnt add too much, quite the contrary in fact. I think the average increase in HP has been about 15 - 20RWKW.

OK. Ta Harry

I found a Nissan sportscar site where they re-did a 350 from scratch..and said really negligible gain as I thought I saw quoted hereabouts?

The site? (I'll find it) They reckoned Nissan got it right first time?
Has anyone dynoed it ?

P.S Has anyone done just the Hi Tech muff tho?

Steve, quite a few of us have dynoed. Just do a search in "Hi tech" and you should find them.

AFAIK noone has just done the muffler.

Perhaps the "negligible gain" you mentioned was on a Yank Z. They dont seem to get the same gains we are seeing in Oz?

That's still subjective. AFAIK no one has tested the same brand exhaust here and in the US. It's being based upon the fact that we appear to have a trend for higher gains but that's still only a theory until proven.
