Default DECA 'events' for 2004

Some of the local car-clubs have already listed their proposed calendar of events for next year (ie. 2004) and I know that there was some ineterest here in attending some of the DECA events at Shepparton. You don't need a CAMS license (or helmet) for all these that are billed as 'driver training'. Also, they are geat fun and very easy and safe way to push the cars to the limit. Loosing control here means that you might collect (at most) a rubber/plastic cone and it's always at low speedsa (ie. 90kph or bellow). The surface is wet and very low grip so you don't have to go fast to be at the liumit.

Anyway, the entry-forms to the 1st earliest events will not be available 'till sometimes in January, but if anyone if instested then let me know here and I'll post the link to the entry forms as soon as they are available. The DECA evers available will be:

February 21st (Saturday) '04 with MX5-club:
DECA: motorkhana and driver training day on the skidpan. Learn some new skills and get the most out of your car. Places limited, so book early. Entry form available January 2004.

February 22nd (Sunday) '04 with BMW-club:
DECA Driver Training - If you haven't experienced over-steer before and want to learn how to control it in a safe environment then put this date in your calendar. This will be strictly Driver Training for members who do not have previous driver training experience. An improvement in your driving skills is assured. Preference will be given to participants whom have had no previous driver training.

June 27th (Sunday) '04 with BMW-club:

November 14th (Sunday) '04 with BMW-club:
DECA - Final Round Motorsport Championship

ps. I'll certainly go to one of those in Feruary (and will see how things are going later).

It's not published yet, but for the 'training days' you'll just need a club-membership (which could be just for the day) and the entry-fee for the event. The membership for the BMW club (for the whole year) is around $60. while for the day (if available) it is usually around $15. The DECA events are usually around $70, which is pretty cheap as most track-days cost around $110 - $150 (besides the membership fee).
