Very cool, good buy!, its supposed to be the only on of the pod-like filters that make any gains. Nissan Performance Mag gained 6.5hp @ peak, but that was with the US-Spec air duct.

How much did it cost all up with shipping etc? How long to install?

looks pretty nice ottonove! You should try to cover the top portion of the pop charger as the filter allows very hot air to be sucked into the engine....

cheers,

And when the bonnet shuts, it completes the seal, so no hot air is sucked in.

I just saw another dyno for the JWT Pop, but they only managed 2hp. Im sure with our better fuel we'll do a bit better, though our restrictive exhaust is probabally throttling the whole system, so you better do an exhaust as well to see the best results, if you dont already have one. What a great excuse to get an exhaust.

Sorry to correct you but you are under the impression that our petrol is of a lot higher octane than the US.

Our premium (optimax ect) is 98 RON (researce octane number), the US use octane # 98RON = aprox 92 octane

Do a search & you will see what I mean

Hey boys just found this forum for us people down under. Ottonove when you say your first mod was an HT exhaust are you talking about hi-tech mufflers. Spoke to them yesterday and they told me that their kit for the 350 provides a power increase of 18kw at the rear wheels. What increases did you get and how much did you pay.?

What do you guys think about getting a POD/Short Ram from C&V motors?

Dont be sorry, I did think RON = Octane, so our 98 is actually 92!

Talk about misleading. Thanks for the correction.

I used C&V for my last car, but they havnt done ANY work on a 350z yet, so im not going to them with this car. Im going to use some guys who have a race 350z and know what they are doing to the Z. They are in Rushcutters Bay, Nathan the guy who posted before you here works there. I would recommend them.

I will be using C&V's dyno though.

You need to be careful with pod / cai for the 350z as nearly none of them are making any power, the only one which seem to make some is either the JWT Popcharger or the K&N Drop in replacement filter.
