If you want to test out if the bounce is gone, just do a burnout. If the tyres spin thru 1st gear, then the bounce is gone. Otherwise, if the bounce is still present, by about 4,500 rpm you will notice it.

I've not done many burnouts and I didn't pay attention of how the car behaves. I'm not a big fan of them.

I'm going to take a car for a spin near kangaroo valley and see how it handles there. This is the place were the bounce reared its ugly head for me.

I've also just took the car for a short spin over Harbour Bridge and I've to say that the car doesn't seem to go up and down like a boat (or that's how I remember) when it comes across the gaps in the bridge. I can still feel bumps, but a lot of the road imperfections are taken care off by the suspension and the car seems to be more stable and less upset by them.

Overall the car feels a lot better as a daily driver, but don't expect it to be a totally smooth ride, springs would be needed for that. For now I'm happy with the stock ones and I don't see the need for any.

Btw how much lowerer is your car with Koni?

Has anyone heard any comparison of Koni and Bilstein Suspension?

Is there any suspension mod that fix the problem but not lower the car?

Konis don't lower the car at all.

ky350, yes I'm, I've to say it was a lot cheaper investment then getting coilovers. And it had very positive improvement on the way the car handles.

I'm also starting to think that the bounce is gone, I've took the car through couple of corners which I know unsettle the z a lot. The car used to start to understeer a lot once I hit few bumps in the corners and I lost a lot of response from the steering input. To my surprise when I took the corners today the car stayed glued to the road as if it has been on rails, I couldn't feel the bumps through the seat of my pants any more, but I could feel the suspension was doing it's job through the steering (if it makes any sense). I feel like I can take these corners now a lot faster then I could have before. So, for now I think that the bounce is gone, this are slow corners so I'm going have to wait for weekend when I can fully test it at high speed.

I've noticed one more positive thing about the change, a lot of the noise from tire feathering seems to be gone, it still there, but it's not as loud. I'll be checking the tires often to see if they get worse or better.

Do you know any Bilstein Suspension and work like KONI? I mean not lowering the car, etc. Because don't want to go lowerer anymore.

ypwpat, according to Bilstein's website, they are in development. But I've not heard a thing about their development, on the other hand the Konis where tested by the 350evo guys in USA.

You might want to contact Bilstein and see when they are planing to release their suspension.

You could be correct, their website is confusing. But what i think they have is coilovers which are more expensive and they will very likely lower your ride. I also have checked their what's new section and their is no mention of 350z.

I think the BSS on the website you have linked above is the same as PSS right here http://www.bilstein.com/html/applications/pss/index.htm in that case they would be coilovers. The BSSA162 is close enough to HE5-A162-H0, but that is just a guess. Also I think the car is lovered by (F)18mm (R)17mm this ammount, unless you are interested in the comfort line.

Here's the diagram as well http://www.bilstein.co.jp/car_index/nissan/bssa162.html

I think if you don't want to lower you car you would need to go with the comfort series (around AU$1700 accoding to the website), but the KONIs are tuned for track, not comfort. So I think it's would be hit and miss with Bilstein. Not to mention that they cost $600 more then KONIs.

In my experience Bilstein are rather stiff. I like Koni, I've had good experiences with them and wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

The OE shocks for the Z have there valveing set to a very firm setting. I have dynograph of the OE shock done by Bilstein (Heasemans) & you would be supprised as to how firm they are.
As a comparison our Bilstein race shocks have a less firm setting in the bounce position (slow speed) than the OE shock.
I have recently driven a Z with Eibach springs fitted to the OE shock & while it was only a short drive around the block, I liked the feel.

Shockabsorbers can neather raise or lower the car, this is done by spring length, mounting or tension.
