Default Anyone interested in coming to Sandown (15/8/04)?

The WRX-club is having 'sprints' at Sandown on the 15th of August '04. Which is a Sunday about 7 weeks away. I'm planning on going, so I'm wondering if anyone else is interested in coming?

ps. You'll need CAMS licence, extinguisher and a helmet (ie. as for any other 'sprint' event).

David, where and how much to get cams licence? I already have helmet, 3 point seat belt...etc. If we can form ourself a 350z club, I will bring my roadster down, otherwise I will bring my GTR down

David, where and how much to get cams licence?

You''ll need the CAMS L2S licence and you can read about it more here:
http://www.cams.com.au/content.asp?P...s&ObjectID=311

Though, all it takes is money to get one (ie. no tests) and it is about $80 if I remember correctly. It'll last you a year, and then you'll need to renew it (ie. pay another $80).

I already have helmet, 3 point seat belt...etc.

You'll also need a fire-extinguisher fitted to the car, within reach of the driver (if you don;t jhave one already). They won't let you on the track without one at the club-sprints/events.

If we can form ourself a 350z club, I will bring my roadster down, otherwise I will bring my GTR down.

Best thing to do is not necesarily 'form' a club, but just tag allong with other clubs who have the insurance/paperwork for the track-days organized. They already know how to run events, have a calendar, and accept 'associate' participants (ie. anyone else from a different club and a different car). That's what a lot of the smaller clubs do. There's no reason why a couple (or as many a swe like) Zed owners could not join any existing track-day (ie. the WRX-club Sandown spints that I'm going to in August).

Oh, and if you want to come to the WRX-club Sandown sprints, then there will be a couple super fast RTS already so youi'll fit in ;-) Or you can bring the Zed, as I'll have mine there. Would be good to see another Zed there ;-)

Update!!

The date has just been changed to 14th August (ie. Saturday) instead of the 15th. Also the entry forms should be available tomorrow or the day after. Here's more info on the event:

-The cost is $110 ($100 for Driver Trainers)
-Fax entries to 9731-0326
-There will be 70 entries plus Driver Training/Novice Group (this is to ensure there are no more than 8 Groups on the day).

ps. I'll post the entry form here as soon as it's available.

OK, This is where you get the entry-form (ie. the entry form link) ... there are some other DOCs here that might be of interest:

http://www.wrx.com.au/motorsport/motorsportentry.asp

I'm sending mine in over the next few days.
