350Z + Hitech Dynoed at APD 28/06/04
Thanks Peter, that's all very usefull info.
Bottom line if the power measurement is accurate and you gain an additional 10kWs of power at the tyres you will have a quicker car
Absolutely. Though, I was only trying to see what the relation between power/dynosfor different cars is. Wanted to se eif there is some pattern ... which there seems to be except for the cars I previously mentioned.

The other issue that impacts on power readings is what gear is used for the dyno test............most in the tuning industry utilise top gear (1 to 1 ratio) unless the engine does not have the mumbo to run a 1 to 1 ratio, then 3rd gear is often used for small 4 cyl engines.

What gear did you use when dynoing the 350Zs?

Should we also do power testing for the before cats and after cats?
YUN can help us up to see how well a pair of high flow cats free up power.... and it will be interesting to see the results too! ALso... if you guys wanna see how flywheel might help to free up higher rev range power, I will participate as well!
cheers,
richie
