Looking nice white. I've gotta agree with you on MP3. It's much more convenient than having 20 CD's in the car. Is there any difference in quality between MP3 and WMA white? I presume by your comments that WMA files are even smaller than mp3's?? I've never used WMA so would be interested in any info you can give.

ypwpat there are a lot of nice double DIN units out there that take up the space of the stock system. I've got a Kenwood DDX7015 which is being installed in the next few weeks that a few other people have on this board.

well i got my new sound system based on sound quality rather than just doof doof

i burn my wma @ 192 kbps, they are bigger.. but awww well i can still fit heaps of cds on 1 disk still ...
i dont think there is a differance at 128 and 160

but i did 192 just cause its higher ....

anyway the quality is just as good as cd

i have spent many hours trying to find something bad about the wma, and i cant.... so that makes me happy.

plus you get track and cd info.. if that stuff makes it better than track 1 2 3 4 and so on ...

yeh WMA and MP3 are pretty similar when it comes to compression vs quality etc..
The only thing I dont like about WMA is because it uses part of Windows Media Player for its compression instead of being a standalone codec, therefore its almost impossible to convert it to other formats.. that and it has the Microsoft name attached hahahaha

but yeh i agree with everything Whitezed said - its so much better to get like 15-20 album on 1 cd, plus having the track titles and everything displayed is a bonus...

Oh and CAR2 ive been meaning to give you a call about your exhaust since you PM'd me.. we should sort out a time for all of us to come have a listen ... because i think Jagz is interested too

What about a day out? Maybe a trip to the Swan Valley - Little River resturant - bit of wine tasting and lunch?

new amp setup

its in about stage 2 ...

im guessing ill have it apart another 3 times before its finished

so it will be a 5 stage thing untill it is 100% finished

i hated having half of a boot becasue of my amps
i now have no glove box.. but that stupid thing isnt easy to use anyway cause there is a ****en seat in the way ...
so its no real loss, my amps just look neat and are hidden away.

also can someone do me a favour and check to see if the glove box has a light up top ..

when my car was apart i had to unclip something and i forgot to put it back on, i only assume it was a glove box light ..

thanks perthie

my amps didnt out much heat, but yeah the thought was going through my head, that they may heat up..

at the end of today after being out and about, i opened the glove box.....

it was a little bit warm ......

so i dont think it will be an issue ..... if i notice it gets too hot, ill put some vents in the top

speaker i have atm are, same as i had in my magna

pioneer bullets splits in the front
pioneer splits 0

and pioneer something 4way 6" in the rear
rears

do the trick ... i couldnt tell the differance in the yellow model, which are the latest pioneers and the yellows are x 3 the price ..

the sub i am using is an 10" audiobahn (model) ????? something something
i have no idea.....
sounds great .. had to change the sub enclosure, pad it foam it seal it... took ages.. no rattles and its good
