Well, it seems that the RX8 has more problems then the 350z, for me once the tirefeathering issue is sorted, I'll not have any complaints with my purchase.
On the other hand I'm starting to get few rattles here and there and they are getting more anoying, since one is right next to my ear on my right hand side.

August MOTOR mag - still asking for owner's opinions.
motor@acp.com.au
Couple of comments -
They praise the economy Where's the USA ck head?)
Brickbats for the "kickback" (not in my experience)
"Bit of flex in the front of the car"
Understeer. (So easy to fix with 245's f and r)

I wouldnt worry about the rattles. Nissan fixed all mine free of charge. Two were on the dash and one under the car.

Yeah, the RX-8 is a oil guzzler.
The first time I saw one on the street was when I went on a cruise with a friend up around Macquarie Pass / Kangaroo Valley. He had friends waiting for him there (one with a brand spanking RX-8) and we got a call to go pick up some Mobil 1 for him.
I picked up the Motor; I'll read it later.
