Angry Sub Upgrade in the 350Z

Although im sure its possible, it seems no car stereo installer can tell me for sure whether or not the sub in the Z's can be upgraded.. I want to keep the rest of the system as original as possible, but feel the sub is lacking that "***** *****", as some wogs would put it.. Anyone had there sub upgraded, and what was the process..Did u need to change the amp etc etc.. Mind you I have also given them wiring diagrams too, yet they still seem to be puzzled..

Thanks

Ultimate, if you do a search in the main Audio forum you will find many people have changed out their sub. All the relevant details are in there as well.

Hope this helps.

As always

i dont think so

the bose sub is a weird looking thing
and its actually 11"

i needed to customise the hole for my new sub

very weird....

and it wont work as the stereo isnt that powerful so new sub wont give better sound and more doof doof
need better amp

Thanks WhiteZed, the only response i ever get from people usually is "if you do a search in"...

So did you end up putting in another amp as well, and did they find it hard to upgrade/install the amp/sub..

Cheers

Is the amp for the sub located pretty much straight underneath the sub itself.. Altimately id like to just upgrade the sub and keep the rest as original as possible..

yeah the amp is next to the sub

replacing the sub wont make a differance

you need a more powerful amp to power the sub

and you cant hook an after market amp up to the factory head unit and factory sub

need a whole new system..

the $$ is worth it

i only spent $2700 on my new setup and it rules

saying this a new headunit may solve your problems.....
it will deffinatly make your speakers work harder and sound better... you probally wont have a sub control but it should make the sub sound heaps better anyway
