Default Prepping 2003 Track for Autocross/Solo

Taking the plunge... I've got racing school (in the Z) in May and plan on attending a couple autocross & solo track events this summer. From reading the threads, it sounds like I don't need to do too much prepping of my 2003 Track. One thing I am looking at is brake pads & fluid. Any recommendations?

ceramic vs. composite? DOT 4 fluid? Recommended brands? Anything else I should do to prep the car?

I plan on predominantly using the car for street use, with a couple of excursions to the track.

Thanks.

To be perfectly honest, I would leave the brake pads and just change the fluid. I like ATE Super Blue. If you need new pads Carbotech Bobcats are a good compromise for street and track.
