Have fun this weekend. I hope the weather holds out for you! I might be back with the St. Louis Lotus club in June.....If they run the Monday after the F1 race. I haven't heard anything yet.

That's why I don't need no stinking camera mount for the harness bar!

MikeCLine,
I was wondering who was out in the G35.

We had the big red Schuitemaker transporter there.

We brought a 2002 GT3RS, factory FIA Porsche GT2 TT 750 HP, another Porsche GT2 720 HP, 2004 GT3 strret car and some other cars over there.
Only the guy with the GT3 went out.
We basically stayd int eh transporter and played Grand Tourismo 4 until about 1 and then left.
Weather really sucked.
I was looking for you to stop bye and say hello but you were out on track.

Cheers

While being a friendly reminder to check your t.p., it is also something of an inside joke too. One of the Z guys at this event, I'm not naming any names of course, was busted down to the begginer's group because he seemingly couldn't get the hang of the track in the rain. Turns out he had only 30 lbs of pressure in the tires!! And he couldn't understand why he wasn't able to corner very well. He finally checked the tire pressure and was zooming around all the novices in his usual form after one session in the dry.

... after "numerous complaints" from the guys in FWD cars that could actually grip the teflon track that day. That's okay, though... he shall avenge his honor at this year's event and take his rightful place in my rear-view mirror.

At least he got to finish his day, unlike another nameless driver that fragged his clutch in the first dry session!

Yes, I too have some redeeming to do there this year. ;-) And with the Tilton and R-compound tires I should be up there with the big boys!! Or wiped out in a firey mess on the side of the track.

Hi BJ. Very nice transporter! The weather did get a little better on Saturday. Still a little damp in spots but at least we got on the track

Will be back there with the BMW club and Porsche club on the 16th and 17th, 23rd. and 24th.

Are you by chance going to Gingerman with the Prosport Group in late May?

Take care. Hope to meet you in person soon!

Mike

I just saw this. Nice to see I got honorable mention. If you look closely around turn 5, you can see where I left my mark on the track.

If anyone wishes to join us this year, I think we all will be back out again. Still a bit out, but a great way to close the track year. It is held the weekend of 10/22 with the Mustang club of Indy.

You need to work on your lines.... 1:31.... YIKES! (Altho, from what people said it was bad track conditions)

It sounds like you where on street tires from the squeeling but I am sure your instructor told you the same thing. USE ALL OF THE RACE TRACK! You had alot more racetrack to use before turnin on alot of the corners. The other thing I really noticed was turn 4 you really really really went wide from overcooking it. Turn 8 was the only corner I thought you did alright but you did turn in alittle early and that caused you to come out of the corner alittle wide. Also, I could not see your hands but it seemed like you where adding input and throttle at the same time at the end in 8 but cannot be for sure without seeing your hands. In 8 you want to ride the line with the left wheel and then at the cracked patch make your turn in. Once you pass the apex start to slowly and smoothly open the wheel and apply the power in a liner fashion.
