Default removal of rear brake rotor shields?

How do I remove my rear brake rotor shields? 2 sets of Stillen Performance vented and slotted rotors developed hair line cracks in most vent holes after about 1000 miles per set. It appears the shield holds in too much heat.

Somebody must have run up on this before. I could not find anthing in a Forum search.

Advice?????
