The SCCA Runoffs @ Mid-Ohio are in 2 months and last time I checked, there were 7 Z's fighting for an invite in T2. Anyone planning on making the trip?

I just had to withdraw my Runoffs entry in GT3 for my yet-to-be-completed 350Z. SCCA rules mandate that you must have at least four races (two in division) and I've missed two of the Double Nationals. It's frustrating, but not unexpected. The powertrain installation of the SR20DE has been problematic and I've tried not to spend more than I earn (yeah-right)!
In any case, there's still hope that I'll get the car completed and out for some fall testing, but I won't see those beautiful leaves falling in Thunder Valley this year. I'll miss M-O since this is the last year before the Runoffs move again...
Best of luck to all the Nissan GT2, GT3 and T2 teams that are going to the big dance!

Since the 350Z doesnt have a chance in T2 this year and I dont want to spend 5-6k to run around in 10th place I'm skipping the Runoffs. Goodluck to all the T2 runners. Hopefully next year I'll have the budget to go and the Turbo cars will all have nice restrictor plates and a lead trophy on the passenger floor....
Rob Hines will be there with his new "Z". Right now we need some track time with the car to get it setup and find out its strong points. This will be our first time, out of 5 trips in Camaro's, with a different car. The rules don't lean toward the "Z" as there were strong voices on the competition rules committee who had sponsorship from other manufacturers. I saw Bob Schaders name in the list and he has a TC Kline car which makes it special as TC knows how to setup a car. BTW if your looking for a great schock package then call TC and get a set of his special Konis'.
John.........you need to find the time to come out with us or if you cant spend the week come out with Matt Christian who usually comes out on wednesday. Anyone looking for us will find us either in the Nissan tent or very close to it. Either way Paul St. Clair from Nissan will know how to find us. Bob Hines

Just don't have the HP that most of the T2 class has. Maybe we can ask for a bit of a head start?

"help out" What is that? We are going to the runoffs with the intention of winning just like we go to every race. The T-2 race will be on Saturday Sept. 24 at 11 am. I think this may be the largest group preregistered so far. Z enthusists should stop by the Nissan tent and say hello. Its located just uphill from the True Sports Stand and on the main road down to the pits and track. Hopefully we will find a spot under the tent. If not look for our new white trailer with the red and whiute Kumho sign.

Just kidding Bob...if anyone can do it in a Z, I think it's me...again...another bad joke (I was going to say Rob, but thought I'd make another bad joke). You guys need to get that thing out and start racing it. Stop winning races in the F-body.See you @ the Runoffs!
We would love to get a day with the car before a race weekend. It really takes a few hours to go thru the shock, swaybar and spring settings. This car is very stiff and Rob is used to a more compliant car. Its also shorter than what hes driven in a few years. Hopefully we can get a day at Summit Point or its on to VIR and take advantage of the test day the day before the race weekend. It wont take him long to get the shock setting as hes very good with suspension, but we arent used to having adjustable sway bars so that will take a few track sessions. VIR is a blast, I really love that track as I used to race there back in the late 60's and early 70's. Its one of the 3 or 4 premier tracks in the US now. Bob HInes
Trust me....a Z can win T2. I ran Jasons car up at a test day awhile ago and form the data we got...it can be done. Need to have a runoffs motor though.. everyone else in T2 will have one.....and drive the car ahrd every single lap.
I am hoiping to be up there...just gotta get some more points.....but not in T2.
