Question regarding event announcements
I regularly see announcements (advertisements?) in this forum for track events, HDPEs and "national" AutoX events. What is the policy or what is acceptable with respect to announcing regional AutoX events? I don't see them announced here that often if at all.
I would like to be able to post notices regarding local AutoX events in hopes of getting more 350Z owners to show up.
Unfortunately, I realize that if everybody did that we'd probably be flooded with posts about upcoming AutoX events. I'm thinking we need a sub-forum here for the purpose of just posting upcoming events.
Any thoughts or suggestions?
Dave

I thought about just posting in the normal regional forums, but was worried that people interested in AutoX would not be reading there, just here in this Forum. I may make a suggestion to Kyle (Godzilla) about adding an event subforum here.

I find most of the regional forums to be full of ricers who have no idea what AutoX or Road Racing is, so this is a forum for such posts. And don't worry about double-posting in the regional and this forum... different crowds, and different avenues to communicate with about events!
I might get flamed for this, but how would everyone feel about creating an AutoX only forum... we already split drag, drift, and street racing... I personally feel AutoX and Road Course events (and the people who participate in them) are different enough to warrant a sub-forum. 'IF' we did start getting lots of event posts, ic could create a tt.net syndrome where if you don't check the forum every half-hour, you miss something because it gets bumped down. Splitting them might seperate the posts enough. (Pro-splitting)
I understand that much of the same techniques and theories aply, and that is a concern that many of the informational posts would become redundant. (Con-splitting)
