Glenn, I don't know if you'll read this before you get to Topeka, but sorry to hear for your loss of wheels/tires today. I talked to Jim Daniels today, he said you found your tires/wheels this morning missing from your trailer in Utah.

Hope you come to Topeka anyways, I hope someone with a track will have a set of wheels for you to borrow, I haven't seen any other Zs around yet to try to ask around for you.

I'm not sure when Glenn is planning on coming into town, but I'll keep an eye out for him.

Headed out to the site now, see some of you guys there!

Thanks. I made the Ogden to Topeka grind last night, getting in around 2AM.

Carter, thanks for the offer, one of my neighbors has offered a co-drive in his ES '94 Miata R. (first time for me in a Miata -- on 710s)

Dude -- don't leave the class! You have spare wheels lined up and everything, plus you'll disappoint jun14scr...

I really want to run the Z, but there are some other circumstances as well (timing, personal stuff) that make it better for me to run Tues/Wed instead of Thurs/Fri. I almost just turned around and headed home from Ogden when the wheels and tires were stolen, but my wife and I discussed it and she convinced me to just go ahead and find other arrangements to compete. I've already made those arrangements and while I do feel really bad about making my co-driver, Lorin, find another ride, he was the first to suggest it. By Monday afternoon, I'd made arrangements to help another driver (and maybe trophy myself) by co-driving his Miata -- so it's not a horrible deal for me either. It will just be another year before Topaz will compete in Topeka.

About timing, I was willing to make the Saturday/Sunday trip home work (Topeka to new job in Snoqualmie via Vancouver, WA), but this way I can get home by Friday, do some more work on the house to make it more ready to sell, and still get to work (3 hr drive one way) on Monday morning at 8:00 AM (new job has rules about time to arrive and time to leave because they are not in the computer industry). The wife and kids aren't happy about the loss of the wheels and tires, but they are happy about being able to actually see me for the weekend -- and that's what is important to me, especially during this process of moving.
