BMW H-Stock racer vs. Project 350Z...

The shoot-out was suppose to be TODAY. But his (or your old car) mysteriously developed a rear main seal leak and a clutch problem. Can't get the car fixed to get going. So I win this round by default.
We're either going to move this back to October 24th or as late as December 10th. Gives me some time to gut as much as the interior as possible (remove trims, dash, stereo...etc), hopefully my big brakes from SSBC will be ready, and look at getting a ProCharger or HKS for the engine and possibly a BOLT ON cage. Can't do welded cage since the car needs to be returned to a street car.
Good luck, not too thrilled with the SSBC brakes, would suggest just getting a set of stock Brembos for it. If you get the handling and chassis stiffness, then I wouldnt do much to the motor. I would save the $$$ and just do an exhaust (headers back), reprogrammed ECU and some camshafts and leave it at that, put the rest of the money into the suspension.

I don't know if you kept in touch with Scott, but he sold your old H-Stocker to someone in the Pacific Northwest. He ended up buying an E46 M3 salvage car and built an I-Prepared car for BMWCCA club racing. I think they came in a few points shy of winning the championship.
It would have taken some more serious work to keep up with the E46 M3, especially if I wanted to keep the car street friendly. Ended up giving up the car right before they found a sponsorship with Vortech and I picked up a sponsorship with RacingBrake. Actually, the car as it stands now may be a good match for Scott's E46 M3, since in IP he's still running close to 3,200 lbs with a driver. The car ended up with another 350Z owner in Maryland who can give it the attention it deserves.
I ended up with an MZ4 Coupe. Everyone's happy all around.
