It could have been much worse, trust me. I totaled my wrx(wheels/tires, stoptechs, coilovers all junk now) at a driver's education event a couple of weeks ago. It really is a terrible feeling isn't it. Now I'm looking at 350z's. I know how misery loves company so hopefully that will make you feel a little better.

Thanks all for your kind words. As was posted it is an eventuality.

Brian, it's a bit tough to tell by the photos, but can they repair the quarter panel or will it have to be replaced? If it's the latter, then it's going to be an expensive proposition.

I haven’t taken it to a body shop yet so I don’t have a figure for repairs. I think it’s repairable without replacement. I’m not in a big rush since it’s about time to put it in storage anyway.

Are we still going to do the 3 day PCA Grattan event next year?

Sure! We got to get the whole crew there. It IS a fun track.

.'06 tail lights? New Ti exhaust? Time for a body kit!!

Well maybe, NISMO style. I already have the PU aerosync front bumper, and an EVO carbon fiber spoiler. Am I seeing things or is the rear bumper on the red NISMO Z in that new TV commercial different?

Well it's a good thing that it looks like you had a trailer to safely get the car to a public hwy before calling your insurance company. Curses to that hit and run driver!

Ha Ha, I am the agent, so I have to be a good boy and take care of it myself.

sounds like the Red Mist caught up with you. What run group were you running in? Advanced? Instructor?

Yes, I would say a bit of red and white (fog) I have to admit that the first few laps of that session I felt a little sloppy and thought if I didn’t get with it I should call it done. I was in the advanced group.

First the foot and now the car, life works in mysterious ways. Let me know the next time you are heading out to Grattan, I would like to go.

I broke the foot just before a 3 day event at Grattan. Was something trying to keep me from going there? I’ll let you all know when the next time out there is.

Turn #8 (the last of 4 turns in succession) looks like a difficult turn to set-up. And I assume that turn #10 takes a lot of...ummm...patience.

Jumping the hump then into 5, 6, 7 & 8 is a blast, not really fast but such a quick succession of turns. 5 & 6 are flat, and typical late apex, 7 was taken on the inside for about the last 2/3rds, this set you up for 8 which had about 5+ degrees of banking. Turn 10 was not bad, lots of extra pavement if you over cooked it.

Good time of year to pick up a used Radical right now is. If it’s too soon to tease Brian, go ahead and throw rocks at my post.

Got any links? Ha Ha

Sorry to hear that. It really doesn’t bother me. I do have second thoughts of if I could have driven out of it, or at least steered away from the Armco.

It all depends on your insurance company. Most are excluding ANY accidents while driving on or at a track, or driving event.
