Great vid. I love watching hill climb style events. What audi is it...an LM prototype? The raw acceleration and braking ability that car has is awesome.

 

I believe that was an Audi RS8. That video isn't sped up at all btw, that was real time

 

I can't to try a hill climb. Maybe this summer, great vid!

 

As an avid fan of hill climbs and rally racing, the in-car cam gives an awesome perspective.

I especially like the Pikes Peak events with the huge vertical drops if you go off-track. Being able to push a vehicle as hard those guys do, all the while knowing one wrong move and your looking at potential 600+feet drop is mind blowing. Especially concidering that most of the track is a narrow dirt road.

 

I wonder where that hillclimb was. I saw another video last week of the same hillclimb, but it a BMW LMP I believe...

 

Kinda weird how he play's with the throttle while he's taking some of those corners, sound's like some kinda sharp imputs to me. Love the time in gears,....dang.

That's an Audi R8 not the RS8. I screwed up when I sent that to ya Trop.

 

OK, I was wrong yet again. It's not even an Audi. The driver's name is Alain Castellana (he's French). The car is a 3 liter BMW powered Norma. The course is Gemenos La Baume in France. It's one stop on the French hillclimb championship. He won his class in the 2005 championship. Since the original link doesn't work, I tracked down another source:
