We just ran two sessions in the ran at 2:37's then in the afternoon the sun came out and the wind dried out the track to allow dry tires. I was running 2:01 to 2:02. What an experience it was. This was my first day in the rain and it was like driving on eggs.

I just got V710's by Khumo and WOW is that a great tire for my setup, T@ springs and Koni SA, 350EVO suspension parts. This time was 7 seconds faster then last track day in August. The addition of T2 spring and tires made the difference.

What a great day in spite of the rain.

I did not hyro but it was spooky in the wet. I ran street tires in the wet then switched to my 710's for the dry. Camber changes were like driving on snow.

 

I have yet to experience racing in the rain. I really want to seeing how wet conditions is one of the best driving tools when it comes to smoothness and car control. I am going to try and hit Sears Point at least once in 2006.
