Lightbulb Road Rally and Rally Cross ?

Anyone ever done something like it?
Sounds like awesome fun!
I got a lowered Z though... might not be the greatest and safest...
Would 3M taping do it?

Road Rally they claim 20% of the roads are rough/unpaved roads...

Used to rally race my Suby J, your right, probably not something you want to do with a lowered Z

Last rally I did earlier this winter, I guy was running it with a Z on oversize winter tires.

It can be done, but I rather do it with my Suby...

I doubt you would want to rally cross the Z. The courses tend to be really hard on cars. I am not sure you suspension would be good for it either. I mean stock parts. The lowering can't be good either. I would go to watch on e of the local events and see what you up against as far as terain goes then decide.

the JIC coilover suspension is definately more drift / time attack oriented than for playing in the dirt ...
i might try it with everything turned to SOFTEST?
and you guys dont think 3M paper taping the front bumper, headlamps and sideskirts will do it?

i'll go do some scouting in time main time

Take a rental car for both events. Don't kill your Z

I think it's a terrible idea (this coming from the guy who wheel-to-wheel raced his w/ 40 cars on the ice).

Unless you were going to buy some custom valved LEDAs and softer springs and raise it up and run bigger tires / rally wheels, no way.

I did a TSD raod rally with my Z in Febuary. I ran oversized winter tires and it was a ton of fun and we ended up 6th in class. I probably wouldn't do it in a lowered Z but otherwise, go for it!
