Actually, I don’t think they would mind. The national rally drivers I know don’t what to be associated with road racing at all. Saying it’s boring to drive around and around and that, and I quote, “It would be boring to drive [a street car] around a race track since within 10 laps I’d be at the [car’s] limit all the time”.

We conveniently never had the chance to put that statement to the test… aha

Anyways, for me it’s not racing if there are no over taking.

"circuit racing? First lap is all wrong, second lap is a little better, third lap a little better still, 4th lap and onward are all within 1 second of eachother, boring!!!"

 

I drove by that stadium on Saturday and saw the hoopla, I should have stopped by. Nice cars.

Saturday (June 17) was autocross open to all cars. I raced along with several other 350Z drivers. Photos are posted here.

Sunday (June 18) was Porsche only. I dropped by wearing a “Z” baseball cap, and mingled with the drivers. My autocross experience is limited, but these guys set-up a long course (about 90 seconds).
