You're talking about a difference between night and day. The Ziex ZE-512 are all season tires while the RT-615's are summer time max performance tires. I'm not saying that you can't run on the ZE-512's, but it'll be considerably harder to be competative in a Street Tire class.

Falken 615's are the best street tire for performance IMO

I have Falken Ziex tires on my other daily driver, and I'm not really happy with the tread life for an all season tire. I had the BFG KDW's on my Z and they lasted a long time (until I abused them). They are great if you don't need a snow tire (but I see you are in Canada). I wouldn't recommend them for the track, but they are great high performance street tires. A lot of the Arizona Z guys have them.

I'm running Kumho Ecsta MX's on my Z right now. They need heat in 'em to get grippy, but once they do they give excellent grip. They're cheap, come in a large size and are symmetrical so if the shoulder gets worn from too much autoX runs, you can flip 'em. Once the tread depth starts to decrease I hear they are terrible in the rain and potentially lethal in snow.

I also run the Ziex ZE-512's on my S14. I've autoX-ed on them before in the dry and in the rain. They give plenty of stability and are predictable, but they only give an average amount of grip for a performance tire IMO, but being all-season makes it worth while as tire for a daily driver.

I have run both the Kumho Ecsta MX's and the Falken RT-615s. IMHO, the Falkens are considerably stickier than the Kumhos.
