Question Best Internet Supplier for HELMETS?

I'm thinking of getting a Bell Sport 3 helmet or something similar to this. Who would you recommend I purchase the helmet from on the internet? I can see some have no shipping plus a free helmet bag. Let me know what you think. Thanks for the help!

Discovery Parts. They had the lowest price by far on the Bell Helmet I bought (M4 Pro) from them.

Default thanks for the help...

thanks for the help. I'm noticing that there is basically NO PRICE competition on the helmets. Just like X-BOX and PS2...so it comes down to service, shipping costs, and other frills....

For Bell helmets that is correct. I used to be a vendor, they are very strict about their pricing and monitor their vendors.

I noticed that too. Back in January, everybody had the M4-Pro for about $479; Discovery Parts was selling them for $429 and with their "club" discount I paid $417. Oddly enough, the helmet was shipped from Bell, not DP so they must have had some special promotion going on.

I've had a lot of our customers buy safety equipment from HMS Motorsport: http://www.hmsmotorsport.com/store/racing-apparel

Go to www.speedwaremotorsports.com. They are the US Distributor for Arai helmets (IMHO the best made), they also sell Bell.

If you are just autocrossing, this is a great buy:

But even the AutoX programs are beginning to switch to SA helmets. I think going ahead and getting a SA, even an SA2000 is the best bet.

I will also give a +1 to Racerwholesale.

Well, that sucks, as racerwholesale's cheapest SA2005 full face is $200.

Look at the Gforce Hybrid, and the Prices of the SA2000, which are good until 2010.

Default thanks for the help...

By the way...I did buy my helmet through Apex. Got the same advice on another site. Everything went flawless. I thought the helmet bag was going to be pretty wimpy and I was pretty impressed that it was much better than I expected. Given there isn't much price competition these kind of difference drive the decision...
