I have been racing fwd's since 98' and last year I had a WRX for about 1 1/2 years.

Rwd is so fun, nice not just plowing the corners, I got some understeer but was able to get on gas and kick back end out some to help' I love this car, easy to drive, very predictable and holds great!!!

The autocross was on our drag strip/ roadcourse, so pretty open all 2nd-3rd gear few gates and saloms, wow those are tough, made me appreciate my WRX I had, awd w/ transitions were nothing, the Z gets light and a little sideways, hahaha I though for sure I would spin out, very sideways but all day were clean runs no cones/missed gates. I had a problem grinding/missing 3rd gear?? Anyone else have that or is this car just picky about not shifting real fast??

Anyways I was the only 350Z out and still grinning ear to ear , funny in BSP there was an old guy in super clean 280Z running close to me.

Yeah it is defitely fun to toss around at an auto-x. The RWD is great to help alleviate the slight inherent understeer.

The RX8's are tough in the B-class, last I remember S2k's were A, no?

 

Yes S2000 in class A, I just know they are comparable cars.

Fun times and Happy to take 3rd place at 1st event w/ the Z !!
