They are only fast in a straight line, slow around the corners. In one of the cars, the turbo didnt even spool up until right before the turn.

If you have no idea what you're talking about please don't say how turbo BMW's are dumb, can't handle power, will break with any boost, etc.

Go over to bimmerforums and look at all the FI members there making 500+ whp. There is a guy in MD with a 328i(2.8L single turbo) who was making something like 600whp and running 10's @ 135+mph at Cecil Raceway every weekend for something like a year straight. ICS has some of the sickest turbo BMW's in the US, based in NJ I believe...

BMW's slow around corners? That's well... false.

*Edit, he's actually running 10.7 @ 137mph. http://www.eastcoasteuro.net/forums/...ead.php?t=4914

Or Lee Piccione's Purple BSP M3 for that matter... I expect that someone will prep a 335 for AutoX this year. That will be fun to watch...

At an autoX event last month there was a guy with a single turbo E36 M3. Very clean car and very fast too. He said he was making around 370whp.

We were on the same tires (Falken Azenis) and he was running high 48s vs my low 51s. I think he had a bunch of experience on me, but still thats quite a margin.
