Default Evolution Autocross School

I'm seriously considering signing up for the Phase 1 school this year, but I wanted to know if anyone else has done it and what they thought about the whole experience. I started autocrossing this past year and I want to get into it a lot more next year, not really to be too competitive but to have fun and learn and build skills. The part that appeals the most is the seat time, 5 runs at a local event just isn't enough!

I did it years ago and its worth the money. The Phased 1 school is more about your head then the car so be prepared to get your thinking changed.

Since I'm new to autocross I'll be starting with a fresh outlook and ready to learn. Thanks for the tip.

Some cool stuff-
Instructors drive your car with you in it. They will then ride along and coach you, pointing out where you can save time, improve your line, sense traction, etc. You will also learn to look ahead further than you probably do now. There is a fair amount of seat time, and the coaching is the best single investment you can make to get faster. I still get more experienced people to ride along with me or drive my car on T.O. runs, and I almost always learn something. Go for it! Day two is like John said, covering how to think/mentally prepare, talk to yourself, etc. I haven't done that one yet, but I've read some books on it.

Prepare to get some real learnin' from some of the best drivers in the sport.

They won't take any excuses, especially when they drive the car at only about 80% and still kick your butt time-wise.

Phase 1 is learning to where to look so that you'll be fast. It's not as easy as it looks.

Yeah, I confused Phase 1 with Phase 2. Phase 1 is looking, Phase 2 is thinking.

Still, the best money spent is fixing the nut holding the steering wheel (I should know...)
