Default Kumho 710 Race Tires For Sale

We still have some used one weekend and possibly some new 710 Kumho's for sale. One weekend take-offs are $350 a set plus shipping and new are 10% below Tire Rack. We also have one set of used one season Enkei 8.5 x 18 light weight racing wheels. I think they weight 18.3 #'s each. We have moved up to the larger width wheels that SCCA allowed and dont really need these. Call Rob Hines 703-989-1536 before 9pm EST please.

Default Kumho Tires

Most are 285/30R x 18. Might have a set or two of 245/35 x 18's. The used tires have been used for one weekend of SCCA racing: 1 practice session, 1 qualifying session which for us is 4 to 5 laps max. and one race which is about 40 to 45 minutes. We buy a set of new tires for every race.

I also have a set of new Kumho shaved Vittoracer V700's in 265/45 x 16. and one set of used V 710 in 265/45 x 16. Call Rob HInes at 703-989-1536

Last year we sold 8 sets of used tires and had no complaints.

Rob is a serious T2 racer. He runs the 285/30-18s on 10.5" Enkeis (legal for T2 racing), not on Rays track rims. I'm sure he'll tell you that you shouldn't try running that wide a tire on a 8.0-8.5" rim.

He's the one who told me you can install the 285/30/18 on the track rims, but I'll need to find someone experienced in installing these tires on 8" wide rims.

Yes, it can be done, but it's going to be a true PITA.

285 Hoosiers mount easier than 285 Kumhos because of the offset bead on the Hoosiers.

Getting the tires on the wheels isn't that big an issue -- getting the bead to seat is the challenge.
