I was the one in the black g35 sedan that was kicking butt out there on MSR at Zcon.

But unfortunently I had to sell the car. I currently drive a TL as my daily but will not track that car. I plan to purchase a 07 or 08 350z soon.

Here is a bunch of pictures from the ZCCA event.

We are all in there somewhere.

I am going to bump this, as I am being told there is plenty of room for more drivers. Typically towards the event date, it gets filled up and folks will be put on a waiting list.

While this is a BMW event it is open to all makes of cars.

Checkout Lonestar BMW Club - Motorsports and register.

Again I will be out there in my 350Z and will be one of the instructors.

See ya at the track

Since the event is this weekend going to bump it.

We are going to run 1.7 mile track. I hear there is room. If I got brake pads left be glad to give anybody a ride.

I'm on the fence on whether to go or not -- I emailed Greg S, but he said the advanced run group had filled up. I'm in the yellow run group in driver's edge, would that put me in the advanced or intermediate group in the BMW event? I don't wanna be stuck behind a train

Questions to ask yourself:

How much track time do you have in the last 6 months?

How much total track time do you have?

Are you new to yellow?

My viewpoint is track time is track time; more you get the faster you become. It takes a lot of track time to become fast. You could always use this as a learning experience and ride with as many instructors as possible. The faster drivers never stop learning.

If you were to ride with me or any other instructor, are at the level of the advance group which means not only running faster then everyone else, but using the proper techniques, I / they would go up to my/thier team lead (BMW has 4 instructor teams, with leads) and recommend that you go up to the next run group. Typically there is always room, there has to be as we do promote students into the next run group.

Hope this answers the question and hope to see ya at the track

All good points, thanks for the reply. I've done 6 driver's edge events now, two of them in the yellow group. I'm comfortable in yellow and am in no rush to move to red. All of my events are since July 2006, so I think 4 or 5 of them are in the last 6 months.

After last weekend at TWS, both my front and rear suspension is making all kinds of creaking noises! I'm guessing (hoping) it's just minor stuff like needing bushings lubed, etc, but I probably won't get to work on it by the signup deadline tomorrow. If I do get it fixed this week, I'll contact someone to see if there is any room for standby's... I could always use some more track time!

I fixed my creaking problem, so now I want to go!! But I didn't register before the deadline. I called and left a voicemail with greg s., but no response yet.

If you can do anything to get me in, please give me a PM, or call me (I'll PM you my #). I'd still like to go!
