BSP and such classes are Solo classes. If you would like to read up on them, you can download the 2007 rules from

i have actually ran a few DE's and open track days at VIR. Just never ran anything SCCA. I have the 06 book here somewhere. Just maybe next year would like to get into some solo stuff. But don't you have to be SCCA liscensed to run in their solo stuff?

Time Trials has four levels that require different car/driver preparation and licensing. I think the DE could be Level 1 or 2. I've heard the terms mixed up before. They do not require a TT license or Novice permit like Level 3 and 4.
PERFORMANCE DRIVING EXPERIENCE (PDX) - Level 1
Level 1 events are non-competitive and are based on the instruction and practice of performance driving and car handling.
CLUB TRIALS – Level 2
Club Trials events provide a constructive learning environment that stresses proper driving techniques, while at the same time offering a timed, competitive event.
TRACK TRIALS – Level 3
Track Trials events are based on competition and utilize fixed racing circuits (approved by the National Office) and other temporary courses (airports, large lots, etc.). Care should be taken to offer some basic instruction for novice drivers.
HILLCLIMB – Level 4
Hillclimb events are based on competition on courses that are not suitable for Track Trials and Club Trials events. These may include hill climbs, or other events on approved courses. Care should be taken to offer some basic instruction for novice drivers.
I've worked Level 3 and 4 events as Safety, Grid and Corner worker. Our region,TVR SCCA, has an annual hill climb the 1st of October up Crow Mountain. Watching fast cars work the switchbacks up that hill is a thrill. It's almost as much fun to watch as it is to drive.

10 minutes.
Yikes Tony, sorry to hear about the car... What all happened?
those 710s look pretty! ::thumbs up::
Will you be at NCAC?
As for everyone thinking he's crazy with the 275s on 7.5s.. that isn't exactly anything rare of untried before. Think Chris H. ran that setup on his car in 05 at Nationals with no problems.

Yeah Jun, Steve spun it over the crest in Statesville, went into a pretty steep grassy hill too fast. Damaged a lot of stuff cosmetically, but we've been knocking shat out. Went over to check out Mike Bright and he hooked it up with some work on the Ti exhaust. The guy can f'n WELD. lol Exhaust looks and sounds great now..... body can be taken care of later.
I won't be at the NCAC, we're boycotting this year.

My work site also blocks photobucket so I can't see the pics. Use the site below to downsize the pics & upload them to this thread. Usually, the downsized pics come out to ~50K.
