How are the two bars in the rear secured in the hatch area? Are they bolted on the floor underneath the rear strut bar?

FYI: On the 2nd pic, I noticed you have the harnesses on the side of the head rest. I suggest slide them underneath the head rest (between the two metal poles) to secure them even more. BTW, those are the same harnesses I'm ordering soon.

Z-u-later -- your right about the routing I am going to fix that! ... the "Stays" bolt to the latch child seat ponts there is a hole for one on the driver side.

redfoot, -- are they still making the BCR bars? the website has been down for a while. AFIK It was custom built using the makers own car for fitment.

I don't think that Bruce is still producing his harnees bar any longer. I belive that credit should be given to the "original" creator of this design for the best harness bar made for the Z. Anyone can see that except for the location of the hoops to hold the harnesses, this unit is a COPY of Bruces' design.

Agreed. Last I heard Bruce was trying to open a store to sell parts. I had made a CAD drawing for him of the bar so he could use it for manufacturing on a larger scale but nothing ever happened with it I guess. Actually now that I think of it I am not even sure if I even sent it to him?

^^ so if any one of you guys saw a Z with an auto trans u would think its garbage? so what if its a 6spd or 5at. sure, 6 speed is fun to drive but a Z is a Z. its better than driving a honda. i hate people who criticize 350z's because its a automatic. you shouldnt be driving ur Z if u talk like that.
p.s.- nice bar

For that price you can get a bolt in roll bar that is much safer to use than a harness bar. I'm not a believer of using harnesses without a roll bar or a cage. Too risky imo in the event of a roll over.

But it's fine for Autox use.
