Peugeot Crashes #7 Car
The factory Peugeot team is confident that its preparations have not been badly set back by Marc Gene’s accident during Thursday qualifying. Gene put the No. 7 car that he shares with Jacques Villeneuve and Nicolas Minassian into the wall at Arnage early in the final two-hour session.
The car suffered minor front-end damage but did not run for the final 90 minutes of the session after the crash, which Gene said was the result of putting the wrong wet tires on for the conditions.
