Default Heads up Playboy GT 350Z's at Barber MS Park this weekend

Link to GA site. The Playboy GT 350Z's are running a larger motor this weekend so the cars should be more competitive. Race is on live Sat. afternoon. They are also running their 350Z Koni Challenge cars.

Thats kinda silly how they just laid the carbon over everything including the air vents from the mold. Looks like they just made a reverse mold of the original dash without removing anything. Would have thought they might clean it up a bit but I guess that removes some work from the process.

I think they wanted to keep the dash looking the same (IE same shape). If Nissan is part sponsor then this is part of their marketing. I that's not the reason then yes it's silly !

Went through the gallery on their site - gorgeous car, love the black wheels.

Anyone know - is that an OEM bumper with the middle cut out and the mesh riveted / bolted in and a custom splitter? It looks very functional (are those 2 big brake ducts on the outer sides? hmmmm)

Looks like they aren't running the Koni Challenge race. GT is qualified 12th.

The dash must be the same shape as the original, but may be made of a different material. They have bigger fish to fry right now than making the dash look pretty... It does look ugly, but right now form must follow function.

Did anyone ever find out about the one loan Z that tried to make it in the GT class for the Rolex 24 2 years ago? After they didn't make it I have never seen that car again.

Very disappointed to hear about the engine problems. That GT class must cost a FORTUNE to campaign. Even with a big-buck sponsor, it's hard to justify that kind of outlay without some results.

If anyone has any details on what happened, do tell!

Yea DM. I wonder if the Japanese 3.8 RS motor is allowed? I know they are reliable. Glad I didn't make the trip down to Alabama. Out driving my Nismo Z. I am in love.
